I'm sorry, but real football coaches don't care about you (the fan), the media, injury lists, shaking hands, or any other nonsense. They care about film, technique, and strategy. Caring about much else probably means you don't win much or with consistency.
I don't think that is true. Take our sport. I can name numerous coaches that coach with class, shake hands, care about their fans, players, media, etc.
I can tell you right now, I would not be a very good coach if I walked up to my players and told them all I cared about was film, technique, and strategy. I better care about my players, their families, their friends, and the University they represent. In doing so I care about the fans, what the media thinks, and all that other "nonsense" you speak of.
With that said, Belicheck obviously cares about his players, which is obvious since they all just want to play in New England and never seem to complain. He may treat the media like crap, but his football team is a family first and they play like it.
Just my two cents...now back to the Belicheck bashing.
