Hey, what gives???!!!?!?
I'm sure that, up until a very few days ago (I last checked late on Tuesday 5/8, I believe), the Tuesday 5/15 games for the A division #1, #2, #3 and #4 seeds were all at 7:00 pm. I just happened to look again, and it seems they've all changed to earlier times (1:00 and/or 4:00). Sorry to seem like a complainer, maybe the teams will already be there anyway, but this may have some significant impact on those of us who got (non-refundable) tickets to come in Tuesday afternoon based on the earlier data... I sure hope that there's just been a mistake, rather than a change, but somehow I don't think so. (Does the MCLA have any pull with the airlines to push for allowing ticket changes? Not quite like a death in the family, I suppose. )
I know that organizing a tourney like this is a BIG job, and we all greatly appreciate everything that you are all doing, so please temper my present concern with that appreciation, but...

I don't think there've been any changes to the schedule ....
I posted this thread: http://forums.collegelax.us/viewtopic.php?t=8316 on Monday, the 7th to say that I'd created brackets for the two Divisions; and Sonny pointed out to me that they'd already been done, so I edited that post down to nothing .... those brackets I made are here: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?e ... vision%20A and the games' schedule came right from here - http://www.mclachamptx.com/schedule.html - on Monday ... and the brackets I created on Monday reflect the same schedule that's there now ...
So I don't think any of the schedules have been changed ..... at least since Monday ....

Thanks for the reply, Cecil, and as I said before, I really do appreciate all the work you (and everyone) are putting into this tournament.
But, for what little it may be worth, the schedule most definitely HAS changed, although on thinking about it, you may be right about the "at least since Monday" part, and I may have misquoted the time of my last checking that portion of the schedule. In fact, the nature of my very clear recollection that, as I said, all four of the top seed games were at 7:00, indicates that my checking was first done some time before the final poll came out (and indeed, some of us bought such tickets substantially before the final poll). But I am CERTAIN of the posted schedule at that time, as I checked and double checked it MOST carefully for that reason, and came to the conclusion that, since the team we are most interested in would in no conceivable way drop below a four seed, the game would definitely be at 7:00, so we accordingly booked tickets then in order to get the much better fare, as long as the game time was known; we wouldn't have bought those particular tickets otherwise. I believe the team even had the 7:00 pm game time posted on their website during that timeframe as well (they have now changed it too). I may have even rechecked the schedule after the RMLC playoffs but probably before the final poll (not certain about that one, though), just to make sure -- in any case I'm sorry about the confusion of the date of my last checking in my earlier post. For whatever reason, it just seems to have flip-flopped, the middle-seeded games now all have the 7:00 time (maybe it was decided at some point that they would be more likely to be close and exciting games?).
Anyway, sorry for the sob story. Don't know if there are others of the top four seeds in a similar position (I had thought we were being so clever and careful), but in any case, from what I've found, the airlines will just wind up getting a bunch of extra money, I know they are getting it from us at least (just PLEASE don't change 'em again...).

The schedule has not changed. On Monday morning after the field was announced, an older schedule draft was posted by mistake. It was promptly corrected within a few hours time. And the it only affected a few of the Div A games. Talking to all programs over the past week, it has not been a problem for anybody. The mistake was caught quickly and corrected.

Again, thank you sincerely for the response, and for everything else. Please know that I do not want to be seen as argumentative or attacking or impugning in any way.
If by "On Monday morning after the field was announced" you mean on 5/7 after the final poll, I understand completely, and apologize again for my earlier quoted date mistake, I must have simply misremembered in my hurry in typing. But, with all due respect, barring any unprecedented major hallucinogenic effects, there truly was a rather long period, BEFORE the time of the final poll, when the bracket shown (without specific teams assigned yet, of course, but with seed numbers shown for each game), was as I indicated -- pretty much the only time during which reduced fare tickets could be obtained. This is what I was referring to as having been changed -- perhaps that earlier shown bracket was somehow in error as well, but it seemed quite clear and authoritative at the time (unless of course I actually have finally gone off my rocker -- I really do think I am still a reasonably good and rational guy, though).
In retrospect, we probably shouldn't have tried to cut it close in that way with the early tickets, but needing to try to minimize expense and time away from work, etc., we tried to be clever -- obviously too clever, given that "something always happens".
Yet again, thanks so much for all your good work. We're all very much looking forward to what promises to be the greatest MCLA/MDIA/USLIA/... tournament yet.
