Danny UGA beat VT 12-11 earlier this year I believe thats the reasoning for the seeding.

someone else had VA Tech's qualifying record as 5-0 , i infered that UGA was also undefeated in qualifying games.
Ken i can't find your post.
Edit, i found it...Did the SELC do away with cross-divisional conference qualifying games when it went to the 3 division format?

the cross dvisional games were used until this season with the edition of Miami I believe because it created 6 teams in the north and only 5 in the other 2 divisions which made it unbalanced for that format.

Will the final tournament schedule be posted to the forum or will the SELC have it up on their website soon? I understand USC must beat Wake Forest to gain the 6 seed right now, otherwise clemson is in. Thats the only seed that is yet to be set, right?

SELC will have it up on the web site soon. USC beats Wake, the Gamecocks are in the tourney as the Div A 6th seed. If USC falls to Wake, Clemson goes in as the No. 6 seed.
Either USC or Clemson will play Florida (3 seed) in the Quarters on Friday night.

i understand it's all set, nothing can change, and it was outlined during the pre-season, but its just unbelievable to me that the only 2 teams in the SELC with 1 conference loss, are the 3 and 4 seed, and the 1 and 2 seed have 2 losses. makes no sense at all.

It just means divisional record carries more weight than conference record.

rightfully so
That is to protect easy schedules from effecting play off seedings. When it comes to comparing the 3 top seeds and all are undefeated how do you suggest we solve it other than what we have?
UF beat UGA, UGA beat VT and VT beat UF..... hhhhmmm seems hard to me to make a fair way of doing this other than the system we have.
It is also nothing new for a team to run the table with 3 wins to take the title.
By the way- divisional games are conference games.

some would argue that easier divisions effect who makes the playoffs altogether, not me though.
