Amen! (though I think ol' gobbler may have the patent on the word "exponetcially") Cases like this should be front page evidence of the failure of the government's policy of alcohol prohibition to 18 year olds. Underage drinkers try to pack as much bang for the buck as they can into "preparties" etc because they are ridiculously excluded from drinking in controlled situations. Never mind that universities are forced to handle two populations of students who are subject to different laws.
I agree that using the phrase "twice the legal limit" was nothing but cheap sensationalist journalism. We're talking 0.16 here ladies and gentlemen, hardly black out level intoxication or otherwise life threatening. I too would like to know if there were any witnesses to learn exactly what happened. Undoubtedly, alcohol played a factor in this accident but you would think it was the sole cause of the tragedy from the reporting.
