(Ironic that the OSU pocket-passer tried to run....then the running-qb stood in the pocket, watched the defender close in, and took a safety in closing minutes...ugh...makes my head hurt). Since then, Texas has indeed beaten remarkable teams, such as Baylor, Missouri, Rice...ya know...all the usual BCS juggernauts. USC, at least "beat" a solid ND team. Im can guarantee that SoCal will figure out a way to stop VY...USC wins by 7 over a one-man Texas team.
What seemed true in September sometimes seems ridiculous in November, so we present our Oops Awards:
-- Texas' schedule, with games against teams ranked sixth and seventh in the preseason, plus two other games against top-25 teams, made the Longhorns' road to the Rose Bowl look more difficult than that of USC, which faced no opponents ranked among the preseason's top 18. Oops. Texas has just one win over a team currently ranked among the top 20 with no more ranked teams left to play, while USC has two wins over teams currently in the top 10 (Notre Dame and Oregon) and still has to play No. 16 Fresno State and No. 12 UCLA.
