Agreed that LU should not be counted out. They have shown some great talent this year, with some really big wins. The fight against Utah proves that, as does an early win over Georgia, as well as the fact that Lindenwood beat Tex A&M who defeated Illinois.
However, Illinois fared better than LU against SFU, Mizzou, and Michigan State.
I wrote about last year's conference championship game saying that it was an edge-of-your-seat thrill ride with ups and downs for both sides, and that was certainly the case. If what eveyone posting so far in this thread has assumed is true, and LU and UofI do rematch in the championship game again this year, I expect nothing less. From someone who has closely followed both teams this season, i think that we will see a splendid match of lacrosse if these two teams butt-heads again.
