Not at all, actually. Talking to Brent and Jeff after the game they were just happy to have won this game. 'Noma is a very good team, the Seawolves comeback was understandable and predictable. The coaches were proud that the Clansmen never panicked or quit when things started to go SSU's way, and that their team battled hard for a full sixty minutes.

A win is a win, and nothing should (or likely will) detract from this one. Both these teams should be ranked in the Top 10, IMHO...

fair enough. I wasn't trying to imply that it would weaken the sense of accomplishment, since a win is a win just like you said. I guess since the team is Sonoma and not a lower ranked opponent, that the margin of victory is an afterthought.

Yeah, they will definitely both be Top 10, especially since SSU beat CSU.

Agree with Dan. The fact that they got the W overshadows the means in which they got it. Let's put it this way, if you told SFU 4 weeks ago when they were ranked 24, that they'd beat Sonoma, who just beat #2 CSU, I think they'd happily take it.

Try doing a live radio broadcast. That "power" is even more heavy. :)

I got to see the game, & it was boring to start... Well, boring because I was expecting a battle not a dominating start by the Clan. SSU came out a flat & SFU came out hot. SFU cleared very well, SSU did not. The second half had SSU showing a ton of pride & heart battling back. SFU did not have the same intensity in the second & the SSU defense (team defense) was fantastic. I wish I could have had my team there to watch. The second slide was always there early, other players were in the passing lanes, it was impressive to see. They are obviously a very well coached group of guys & I'm sure they want to see the Clan again. Great game overall, I'm still impressed thinking about it today.
