From Ashland:
San Jose State - 16
Willamette - 6
A very disappointing display of lacrosse by Willamette today, short on players due to the break. No excuses though, San Jose has some legit players and outplayed us all over the field, hopefully SOU can give them a better game tomorrow.
Southern Oregon - 24
Humboldt State - 3
Humboldt has a great group of young players and are very fun to see play. Many are still learning the game but they have some talent in cage and on attack.
Tomorrow WU and SOU flip opponents.

Just got a BIG NEWS update as well.
Jon Matsuriveljareskly #15 of Oregon, starting midfielder broke his collar bone in the game and will likely be out for the season. Not too good of news for the Ducks

Huge loss for the Ducks going into the CSU (and UNC) game. . .Knowing that injury, it is possible for him to return in May - it depends on the severity and how many pieces the clavicle was broken into. If it needs surgery and "wiring" (which is unusual). . .that's a much longer recovery. . .
If it's a simple clean break, he may just end up with some good painkillers and a sling. . .he could return to play as soon as he gets the strength back in his shoulder and arm. I've seen athlete's return to action after one of these in as little as 6 weeks. . .so there still is hope for Jon to be back for playoffs. . .
I hope the injury ends up being a small break that didn't displace at all. Best of luck to Jon. . .

jon's recovery will be pretty swift. he's already possibly the best athlete on the team. unfortunately he's also joining a list of injurys that are plaguing our team right now, but we've got a lot of guys who will be able to step up. good win tonight boys

I'm no doctor, but I broke my clavical & was back on the field in 3 1/2 weeks. It's all about pounding the calcium & working with a sports specialist, not someone simply trying not to get sued.

I'm sorry but I have to say that "pounding" calcium will do nothing for the healing process. The only people who should take calcium supplements are osteoporotic females. I don't think John fits into that category. All that the calcium supplements will do in a healthy person is increase their chances for kidney stone formation. The best non-surgical option is to use a bone stimulator, with a shoulder immobilizer

UW loses a tough battle to Noma 13-2. Had it tied at two, but then got shut out in the second half. I am sure Dan will have more in a bit. Sounds like a good time at the Huskie Invite in Dempsey.

I don't have much to say, actually. We really stunk in the second half, which was played almost exclusively in our defensive half of the field. Ugly, very ugly.
