WWU -4
WOU +8

does WWU get the #3 because they won head to head vs. CWU?

You have the goal differentials shown correctly, Kellen. But since this is a three-way tie, the head-to-head win by WWU over your CWU team would not matter. WOU gets the #2 seed on g.d., and we would need to go to the next tie-breaker to rank the Vikings and Wildcats for third and fourth -- which is goals allowed in games against common opponents (only).

Be my guest if you want to figure that scenario out. But CWU only allowed 14 goals to the Wolves, while the Vikings allowed 21 -- so that game gets you guys off to a nice head start...

PS If goals allowed against common opponents still can't break a tie, Laxpower rankings as of the day after the regular season ends will be the final tie-breaker. This has never been needed to break a tie, and was only established as being a slightly better option than flipping a coin.

Dan, wasn't it TSI not power rank? I can't remember, it seemed like a mute point, but was better than a coin flip.

Jason,

Maybe Kyle meant that it was a really quiet point because no one else had talked about it... hence, MUTE point

LOL I don't remember whether we agreed to the power ranking or the TSI either. But in reality the chance of ever having to use this final tie-breaker is astronomcally small. We've never even had to go to goals-against in games against common opponents before -- goal differential has always resolved a tie when needed. But if it actually came down to using LaxPower, we'll let our President make the call -- it's why we voted to pay him the big bucks!

For the record, I could assemble Nike Air Jordans in China for a better hourly wage than my President's job. . .it pays about as well per hour as a PNCLL coaching job. . .

From the UW-SFU game tonight:

This was definitely NOT a friendly game. These teams could very well play again in Missoula, and I'm sure both teams would enjoy another contest.

#18 Chris Tessarolo - freshman attackman for SFU was the best offensive player in my opinion for either team tonight. SFU has a lot of weapons, he just seemed to really be the catalyst tonight.

Much has been discussed about Curtis Manning making the switch to LSM. . .he was an absolute animal out there tonight. . .definitely deserving of All Star consideration at LSM.

UW is probably kicking themselves for not capitalizing on their opportunites tonight. I don't know their man-up stats, but they had SEVERAL EMO opportunites and SFU played a very aggressive man down D. . .and UW just couldn't get good shots on cage during EMO.

Enjoyable game if you like unsettled offense and if you can tolerate sloppy play. . . SFU lost starting pole Curt Brown due to ejection, so they won't have him for the Sonoma game tomorrow. . .but SSU won't have starting attackman Kenny Williams (little bro of Cito). . .so maybe this balances things a bit for the two teams.

That is going to be a great game tomorrow. Good luck to the Clan.

Sounds like an entertaining game! Hopefully both teams can have strong showings against Sonoma over the weekend. An unfortunate loss for SFU on defense though for tomorrow's game.

With your mention of Manning on LSM, I saw SFU's mid-season report on CollegeLax and it stated that Manning moved to LSM after the third game.

Last update on the score was 16-9 SFU with 1 minute left

Curtis Manning is good at everything. Engineering, LSM, Middie... I even hear he makes a mean potato salad.

Final Score was 16-11, Washington with two goals in the last minute as per "The Doctor"

I was taking a look at the Huskies Summary and two things were obvious. Cammy Moore had a great game and the Huskies EMO was...well...

Poor performance by the Huskies in a chippy, penalty-filled affair. We just could not capitalize on the 20 penalties Simon Fraser served time for, netting only 4 goals on EMO

20!?!

Cammy Moore did play great in this game. . .making a couple saves that were just ridiculous. I know it's hard to praise a goalie when the team gives up 16 goals, but without Moore in the cage it could have been much worse.

On the flip-side, Dean Stewart of SFU had a really nice game in the cage as well. I don't know any save totals, but Stewart is a huge asset to the Clan. I'm pretty sure he's the same kid I watched on Jeff and Brent's Burnaby Mountain Selects over the past two seasons - he was good then and he looks even better now.

And yes, 16-11 was the final. I hope SFU plays todays game with 10 players on the field for the majority of the game. . .

Yeah, only twenty. But, hey, you can't expect the refs to catch all the fouls now, can you?

On a serious note, we knew coming in that Towner and Foss were very good Attackmen, but we were surprised by #18 Chris Tessarolo in this game, and he definitely hurt us. The kid can really play...
