Texas State v Chico
Great matchup. 7-5 game with three minutes to play in the fourth. Chico closed out the ball game with some late man up goals to put the Bobcats away.

Spoke with Derek Thomson (HP) a few minutes ago. Game is on as of now unless lightning hits.
SMU vs. Minnesota is cancelled for tonight. Trying to figure something out for tomorrow or Thursday.

Did anyone from Baylor say that the game between Baylor and Minnesota would be played tomorrow?

Is the cancellation due to field condition or something else?
If it's the former, I'm kind of surprised/disappointed that the host teams didn't plan a little farther in advance and investigate a backup, artificial surface field, particularly since Minnesota is spending a lot of $$$ (probably close to $25K) to come to play them.

I don't think you can blame any of the teams. Just bad timing.

Well I'll just tell you that on two occasions when I was coaching teams that traveled similar distances, our hosts located alternate fields when rain prevented them from using their primary field. One was on-campus, another was off campus.
When we hosted teams from out of conference, we made certain we had a backup field in case of a weather situation of if varsity athletics bumped us.
So I'm not going to go as far as "blame", but suggest that teams can make a better effort in advance planning when hosting games.

Any chance for the SMU/Minnesota to be played on one of the High School Fields in the Dallas area that have Turf?
I mean that is a pretty tough for Minnesota to come all the way down here and not be able to get a game in at all.
Then again I hear that Texas Stadium comes at a pretty cheap price!

Baylor vs Minnesota was canceled due to lack of playable field on Baylor's campus. SMU was able to secure a field and Minnesota is currently playing them in Dallas.
