Tech is 2-3 with wins over A&M and what may be an overated Washington team. I thaught Wash. was having a good year before losses to CHapman and Tech which drops their stock. Just like the stock in the victories by UNH over the Texas teams. If UNH had blown them out...maybe 24-25.

Guru, I think you may want to delete this post that you just made before it gets out. I would hate for you to get confused between UW and Wash. U.

Your right, my fault, I was scanning scores and forgot about the other Washington, who Texas Tech beat, NOT the Huskies which further validates my point about UNH.

Everbody has an opinion...

Postby Dan Wishengrad on Tue Mar 22, 2005 12:22 am

The only consensus to be gleaned from all these threads and posts is that there is a small group of "elite" teams who are just better than the rest of us. The next group is a big one from about #9 through #40, and all these are good teams who could beat any of the others on any given day (Minnesota over Florida State, for example). We can argue forever on the relative rankings of these teams, but it all proves nothing.

A few lucky teams will earn at-large bids to Blaine or get an AQ from a weak conference and have the honor of getting hammered by the Colorado States, the UCSBs, the Sonomas, the Michigans and the BYUs. Others will stay at home and moan on these message boards about how they were actually more deserving than higher-ranked teams and would have done better in the tournament if selected. The pollsters do the best they can and remember only the FINAL regular-season poll matters, not ones in February, March or April.

Agreed, I'm just doing my own poll to see how it fares against the leagues. I find it amusing how some people hype their teams with losing records or barely over .500 by who they played. If they want to be ranked higher they gotta beat a few.

Depends on what your diet consists of? I'll take what anyone says the first time, if they said they played terrible I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The eek out another one and say the same thing, then they'll drop in the standings. You want to be highly ranked you come out every game ready to play. I'll allow one bad performance if you pull it out. If you lose and say you played bad, then I'd have to say..sorry should been ready you drop regardless.

UNH beat the big LSA teams, so what does that even mean anything this year? No. I think that that is a justified statement. Does this means that UNH is bad? No, all it means is that the LSA wins do not justify big respect. That is all.

I know I am a homer for MSU, but MSU is undefeated against, albeit, not the best schedule, but with an average score of 17-4.

They also have two of the top 15 points per game scorers in the A division, and a 3 time all CCLA goalie.

Is that really a horrible pick?

I guess this will all shake out over the next 3 weeks when MSU plays Indiana, Oakland, and Miami.

I'll admit, I have seen all their games, and they look good, but let's see how they handle some better competition.
