We should debut the main page of the site sometime later tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned.

The new site should be live for just about everyone now.

If you have any problems getting to the new site, first try restarting your browser, then possibly rebooting your computer (althought that prolly won't do it).

If you are still not seeing the new site, then please drop an email to webmaster@uslia.com.

Sonny, I use a program called mozilla firefox as an internet explorer and the site wouldnt work when i used that yet, but when i used my old internet explorer, after fighting through 80 pop-ups, i made it to the site and it did work. I don't know how you can fix that, but just wanted to let you know

We don't have any pop-ups on the USLIA.com site. So I don't know where that is coming from.

I tested the site earlier on Mozilla Firefox broswer and it worked fine with me. Ditto for IE. I will check again.

As Sonny said, pop-ups are probably not an issue with their site. Aren't pop-ups a result of visiting sites that dump these automatic links somewhere on your hard drive, e.g. cookies, or executable files, that execute when you activate Internet Explorer or some such other program? I had that problem on an old computer and it got so bad that I had to replace the computer to get rid of the problem. Personal firewalls and such prevent this from happening now. The lastest version of Internet Explorer has a pop-up blocker built in to the software which can be downloaded by doing a Windows Update.

There is a site that can run diagnostic tests on your computer and tell you if you have any spyware on it. http://www.pcpitstop.com. Also, there is software, such as Spybot, that will detect if spyware is running.

Here is a post on an Iowa Sports Message Board I read:
http://iowa.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=811&tid=35830605&sid=&style=2

It has a ton of things to consider downloading to clean up your computer from virsues and other crap which are all FREE.

Spybot is real good at cleaning up spyware.

Spybot does clean some spyware, but also adds spyware to your system. I suggest using Adaware. Also, if firefox is not working for you, go into tools --> options and clear all of the cache. That should fix it for you.

I hope this helps.

What type of pop-ups are you getting from IE?

Adaware is great at removing spyware and pop-ups, but, sometimes, its just easier to do an unconditional format and start from scratch. I got so tired of having a public computer with roommates screwing things up, that I have no partitioned my drive multiple times so that if I do reformat, I don't lose anything. Programs are not in the same drive as XP things, as well as lacrosse, music and school. With all the crap going on now days, I even have a spare drive with Norton Ghost on it. Essentially, you can take a picture of your computer, and if you have a problem, you can turn back time to that picture. I'm sure there is something better out by now, but I haven't had any problems yet....

Master Database

Postby CP18 on Wed Feb 02, 2005 3:23 pm

Sonny and other webmasters,

I am guessing that the schedule of upcoming games and scores will not be operational on the front page until our national database is ready for the site to pull from it?
