Unofficial Score from Cold/Windy Athens......

VT - 16
UGA - 13

VT jumped out on Georgia Big in the first half. And Georgia came back strong in the 3rd quarter to have some chances to win but VT held them off late in the 4th to hang on to the win.

Clemson- GT
Fun game in the MUD! sloppy all around. Tech scored as the horn sounded to tie the game in regulation. Clemson scored on their first possession in OT.

Tennessee Wesleyan over GaSouthern 18-7 or something along those lines.

Southern didn't have much in terms of numbers on the sideline. TWC had flashes of good ball movement and cuts for a young team. Although they did go to the goal with 3 seconds left in regulation. Sweet.

Any score for Alabama/GaSouthern on Saturday?

va tech mcla writeup from ga

Postby gobblerlax05 on Sun Mar 09, 2008 11:49 am

On a typical Georgia day – 40 degrees with wind and some flurries, the University of Georgia hosted Virginia Tech on an all weather surface. The game started with the teams trading possessions but no scoring until VT’s Tom Schauder scored the first goal half way through the first quarter. The Hokies defense was aggressive and effective and the Hokies built a 3-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs got on the board early in the second quarter but the Hokies took control and made a 6-0 run to make the halftime score 9-1. The third quarter was dominated by Georgia. An early goal and a 3 minute illegal stick penalty against VT provided the impetus for a Bulldog comeback. The third quarter ended with the Hokie lead cut to 11-7. The two team play nearly even with both showing excellent goal tending and strong offense as they traded goals back and forth. The Bulldogs got to within 3 but could get no closer. The game ended with the Hokies on top 16-13.
