Charlotte - High Point.

Postby NinerCoach on Sat Feb 23, 2008 6:51 pm

Thats an incorrect score for the Charlotte - High Point game.

I'll have to double check this in the score book, but I'm 99% sure the final was 11-5.

We agreed to go to a running clock in the second half and primarily played our backups so our starters can be ready for our game against Georgia State tomorrow.

Anyone played them that can offer any insight?

Hence my saying the score was unofficial. Joe couldn't remember the score when I asked him.

Congrats to UCF. The scores are looking good for the Knights. I'll be interested to see how the rest of the schedule works out.

Score was 4-1 UT after the first and then 5-4 or 5-5 at the half, don't remember the exact score. Tenn had a big run in the 3rd after a stick penalty on a ga tech defenseman and held on to the lead in the fourth.

Tenn has added Chris Kelley and Alex White has returned as well to help coach with Matt Synowietz this year. It looks to be paying off as there was always good talent, but just not enough coaches to run the team.

Also it looks like they play BC and Northeastern in the same day later in the season. Is that true, if so that is crazy.

That is true. Both games will be at Univ of Maryland. BC game is at 2pm, NU game is at 8pm.

why on earth would they do that? it's not worth playing in college park to have to take on two top ten teams in the same day. good luck to them though i hope they can pull it out somehow

Glad I left that 1% open. The final was actually Charlotte 12, High Point 5. I was looking at my offensive players only and missed that one of our poles had scored.

Today the final was Charlotte 13, Georgia State 3.

Georgia State played a lot better than the score looks in my honest opinion. I hope they can keep that program moving in the right direction because they could end up a very good squad.
