I wish that Oakland would submit articles to be posted on the uslia.com homepage. If they do...keep it up. Michigan constantly has articles on the homepage and I only think it can help...especially with Oakland's record and rank. I am sure that a lot of people are doubting their ability to an extent because they don't know much about them.
It just seems as though the same teams are receiving the same amount of limited press that is uslia.com...
I know it takes time, but I can guarantee it's worth it...

We are fortunate that we have someone who the university pays to do that for us (they don't pay me, but they pay our media relations guy - figure that one out). If we didn't have Joe, we'd find a way to do releases ourselves though. I agree with Bentiss. There are a lot of benefits to keeping an updated website and getting out good press releases. It keeps our alumni involved. It helps build a fan base (more tickets sold and potential donors). It increases media coverage. We send releases to a ton of media outlets, and it pays off from time to time. Fox Sports had a camera at our game Friday, for example. We didn't call them and ask them to come. They are just used to getting our releases and decided to send a camera crew that night.
