UCSB- Colorado Game

Postby mcneito on Mon Mar 21, 2005 3:53 pm

UCSB 8, Colorado 7 - Final. Game played in Provo, UT. CU was up 7-5 with 5 minutes left, and UCSB scored 3 unanswered goals in 4 minutes. Tough loss for the Buffs.

Really?? I had a feeling that CU's style would be conducive to staying close, but figured they wouldn't be able to score goals against the UCSB defense. Very interesting game for a CU squad that showed me nothing on Saturday. Wednesday is looking extremely interesting for the Gauchos.
Always on point . . .

I guess Wednesday was the right day to schedule a "business" trip to Provo. I know it's on BYUTV, but I'll be happy to call in updates if anyone wants them.

CU gave the game to UCSB in the last 4 minutes. They controlled the game, and lost control in the last 4 minutes. What a game!
You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis! How do they do that?!

JHBYU33...How's the health of the team going into Wednesday's game? Austin, Davis, Monteath, Rife...any idea who's playing?

It's scores like this that make you dream for an MDIA channel on T.V., well one day perhaps.

Just curious if there are any CU players or fans on this thread that can tell me how Mark Tapy is playing so far for CU. He's a defenseman/LSM and his number is listed as #7 on the USLIA roster. We were teammates for 2 years before he transferred to CU this fall, just curious how he's playing, I'd love to hear from anyone... thanks

Tapy is starting at close and has proved to be a huge help to the CU defense.

Good to hear, I'm glad he's making an impact. I actually talked to him this weekend and he said he's really enjoying playing at Boulder.
