So, I am yet to beat my son (he's 7) at FIFA 2008. He always picks AC Milan. What team should I be picking to try and beat him? I usually pick Chelsea.

Arsenal is awesome on the field, but not on FIFA 08. its not fair really. you should try Barcelona cuz they rate the palyers really high and they can compelte with AC Milan there.

Sounds good...If I don't beat him in the next week or so, I'll just ground him from the playstation for a couple weeks.

I've been very happy playing with Real Madrid. Give it a show, what can it hurt except the fact that you then can't just blame it on the team you use!! haha

I think everyone needs to realize that there comes a point in time when your son, younger brothers, or just some kids, catch up to you and play better than you on video games.

My 12 year old brother destroys me on Call of Duty 4 and Halo

My 14 year old brother is pretty even with me on Madden 08, but I know the time is coming when he will thouroughly whip me.

In no particular order...

Juventes
Bayern Munich
Real Madrid
Inter
Barca
Man U
Lyon

If you can't do it with one of these team, buy your son a new game to play you in.

If you're going to go Colorado, you might as well go with the original..

...and the fringe on the unis...

...yes, the Caribous of Colorado

Or perhaps, their predecessors, the Denver Dynamos (later to become the Minnesota Kicks)

Hey all you football/soccer fans

This week begins the Quarter-Final Rounds of the UEFA Champions League and I thought, in keeping with tradition, we could have a little bragging-rights pool between us lax fans.

Here are the competitors, the first team listed is HOME for the first game

Bracket 1

ROMA (ITL)
v
MANCHESTER UNITED (ENG)

SCHALKE 04 (GER)
v
BARCELONA (SPA)

Bracket 2

ARSENAL (ENG)
v
LIVERPOOL (ENG)

FENERBAHCE (pronounced fenerbanche') (TUR(
v
CHELSEA (ITL)

All teams left have a legitimate shot to reach the final, but the possibility of an all English final is looking more and more likely

Roma v. ManUTD is the most intriguing of the ties because of their meeting last year in the same round and in the group stages in this years competition. For those who have forgotten, United destroyed Roma 7-1 at Old Trafford last year before going on to lose to AC Milan in the Semis. C Ronaldo (despite his occasional dive) has been on fire this year and just scored his 35th goal of the season in all competitions. It's going to be tough for Roma but they are playing very well challenging for the Seri A and knocking Real Madrid out in the previous round.

Barcelona are Barcelona, they lost Messi for a bit, who has been one of their best if not the best player on their team, while Ronaldinho hasn't been the same player as years past and has only scored 9 goals in 21 starts. I know little to nothing about Schalke besides they are looking like the dark horses in this competition.

Arsenal are seeing their form hit a brick wall at the moment as they squandered a 5 point lead in the EPL to a 6 point deficit behind leaders ManUTD, they seemed like they were going to be world beaters after defeating AC Milan in the last round, but only time will tell if the London youngsters have any steam left to get past Liverpool. The Scousers haven't performed well in the EPL thus far, but that is mostly because they are really a Continental style team that isn't technically built for a faster-paced English league. They beat Inter Milan in the last round and look to be on their way to reaching the final for the third time in 4 years.

Chelsea have slowly crept up the EPL to second place after beating Arsenal on Easter and face a highly attack based Turkish side loaded with Brazilian talent and a Brazilian coach. If the Turks don't come away with a big win in the first match they will be hard pressed to find a goal at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea rarely lose, let alone concede a goal.

I think it will play out as such....

Roma 1 1

ManUtd 2 3

ManUTD win 5-2 on aggregate

Schalke 04 2 0

Barcelona 2 2

Barcelona win 4-2 on aggregate

Arsenal 2 1

Liverpool 1 2

Arsenal win on penalties

Fenerbahce 3 0

Chelsea 2 1

Chelsea win on aggregate 3-3 with the away goals putting them through

If this pans out then this will be one of the best CL Tourneys ever with a fantastic semi final and final

MANUTD 3 2
v
BARCELONA 1 3

ARSENAL 2 1
v
CHELSEA 1 1

I think the final will be ManUTD v. Arsenal in Moscow with MANUTD winning 2-0, claiming the Champions League and the EPL when the dust settles

Though it's probably because I'm a United homer, what do you guys think?
