(Game Fees shall increase in 2008 and 2009 based on the percentage increase in the CPI.)

Per Diem 2008-2009: 100-124 miles one way $15
125-149 miles one way $25
150-174 miles one way $35
175-199 miles one way $45
over 200 miles one way $90 or hotel room provided by the institution plus $50.

Tolls: All tolls paid.

Okay, I'm usually pretty good with numbers but for some reason, I just can't figure out this calculation. First we take the round trip mileage and subtract 30 miles from it. Now where does that number fit into the one way chart, or do we use the current IRS mileage rate and the chart is meaningless? On Arbiter, my game fees all end with something other than round dollar figures... .05, .25, .55. I'm so confused!

The fees are different. The fee listed is per official.

Me too. Not to mention I've done multiple MCLA games at the same site and the amount I receive isn't exactly the same each time.

Just refuse to do them. That is a ridiculous start time. Creighton has played in the Midnight to Dawn indoor lax tournament a few times down in Kansas City. But that was a fundraiser and the games were off-season scrimmages.

I don't understand playing regular season games at these hours.

It's the only time they could get indoor space. I'd rather do the game at 4:30 a.m. than outside in the snow and the cold and the wind . . .

Is it possible that teams are feeling the pressure to start their seasons as early as they can. Maybe too early.

It's also nice to not have to travel for 8-12 hours to play in weather that might not be so great in Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana or Missouri.

I applaud the teams going to Minnesota for returning trips that were made to them. Call Poly and Lindenwood made the trip north last season to fulfill this gentlemen's agreement as well. There are a lot of teams in the WCLL, LSA, CCLA and SELC that could stand to fulfill this obligation.

I'm not if you're refering to something in particular, but I wouldn't lump the CCLA in with other warm climate conferences.

UMLL teams have gone to CCLA teams for games for a number of years. It has nothing to do with climate, it has to do with understanding fairness, being a person of your word, and acting upon it in a responsible manner, rather than being forced to act by rules and regulations.

The games with Eastern and Western Michigan, scheduled over the next two weekends are the first return games by the CCLA as far as I can remember. Michigan is making a trip to the UMLL vs UM-Duluth in March as well.

I also forgot to include Iowa and Missouri among teams that have returned trips to the UMLL.
