It is starting to seem this way. But if you want to see some cussing, while not on air, work with Barry Switzer some time. But at least with him, it is in a "fun" way.

Out of the 5 years I waited tables and all of the "celebrities" and "personalities" that I waited on this guy was the cheapest. He split the tab with Al Micheals and big Al left me about 8% more (20%) on the same total. He even glanced over to see what Al was leaving!

I have to say that I don't see what the big deal is. In the first video he is clearly agitated but who doesn't get a little ticked at work from time to time. Luckily most of us don't have cameras pointed at them all day. And when things go poorly on television, it's the guy who's face is up there that gets the heat so I can understand a certain level of frustration.
The rest of the videos...so what? So he drops an F bomb...I plead guilty to that too. If my computer monitor could talk, I'm sure it would have some stories about my tirades against spreadsheets. He talks to someone about wine...really didn't get that one. And then he talks about cheap meds from Canada...whoopideedoo.
The only thing from this whole thread that bothered was to find out that he is a cheap tipper. And that's what grinds my gears.

I went to high school with his two kids and he was always around doing nice things for the school and supporting the schools arts program as well as the sports program. He was always very very nice to kids that wanted to talk with him and always had a smile on his face. I lived in the same dorm as his son and met him a few times and he he was always real cool and down to earth. I do remember one time when it was just me and three other kids in his sons room he did drop the f'bomb a few times. And who care about the cheap meds, who doesnt like a few pain killers from time to time? I have also seen clips of howie long and dan marino flipping out on set. I am sure it happens to these guys and now somebody is just posting these videos of the Shawmi. Imagine what we would think of our favorite actors if we got to see clips of them on set bugging out and acting like pre-madonnas requesting diet coke at 33 degress or something ridiculous like that. I dont think this is a big deal but i agree it does show him a light that I am sure he is not too happy about

It bothers me because if I went on a tirade at work (I am a RN - BSN from UTA - insert your Gaylord Focker jokes here) I would be fired the first time. Whether it was in front of patients, or in front of family, or in front of peers. I would be gone, no sensitivity training, no warning, no public reprimand, nothing.
It's about PROFESSIONALISM. I don't care if the dude is the face of ESPN, or the garbage man. If he said something like this on the air, the whole world would be going nuts and he would have been fired. Why should he be treated any differently off the air? If he wants to talk like that on his own time, who am i to tell him any differently, but while the guy is working and pulling down probably millions for what he does (don't get me started on this) then he should show a little more PROFESSIONALISM, and quit acting like a little premadonna, and handle his frustrations like a grown man instead of a child.

Not to mention the potential slew of FCC charges that ESPN would face if this had gone out over the air, whether through broadcast to homes or just RF.
I have been through an FCC investigation before. They are not fun and lead to some heavy fines for some expletives broadcast along radio channels that a local affiliate intercepted and turned in.

The FCC gets involved if something like that goes out, but not on the public airwaves? Wow. Talk about big brother.

I wish! No, it was tournament in Rochester two years ago. Producer was dropping f-bombs like conventioneer does $1 bills at a strip club. Our RF vendor had to pull the plug on the RF because they were getting complaints from their coordinator. Unfortunately, it was too late.
Actually, it did go out over the public airwaves since the freqs are owned by the people. Sucks nonetheless. Remember, technically it is illegal to cuss on a phone call. Go figure?

Speaking about Chris Berman. . .I wanted to throw my TV set through a window last night after watching the "Ulitmate Highlight" contest they're running. . .not as bad as "who's now," but pretty damn close.
These highlights are getting ruined by Chris Berman. No, I don't get to listen to Jack Buck's famous line "I don't believe what I just saw!" when Gibson went yard off of Eck. . .or even the Vin Scully call of "High fly ball into right field, she i-i-i-is... gone!!". . .No, I got to listen to Chris Berman's butchered version where he yells at the screen (instead of an intern). . .
Just freaking brutal. Greatest baseball highlight of my lifetime ruined by Mr. Potty Mouth. I'm still pissed.
