Where are you guys buying your shorts these days?
I'm striking out at the local menswear stores and would like to find a cheaper source then the online ref stores ($35 a pair and up).

Same here, not much luck with anything locally. At least nothing cheaper than online. My problem with the online officiating sites, especially The Official's Corner, is the lack of consistency in both size and style. Seems like I've received a couple of orders of multiple pairs of shorts over the years when at least one pair didn't fit or was a different style. I switched to Kohl's the last 3-4 years but they quit selling them last year. Beware of Kohl's white shorts they are advertising this year. If you read the small print, it says it includes a small additional "cell phone pocket". Bottom line...no luck here either!

I think you guys should just move to these:

Elastic waists are in this season.

Would at least like to find the style locally regardless of color so I could try them on before ordering online.

I've also gotten mine at Kohl's, and bought another pair last season.
Not sure if they have the spring stock out yet up here - another heavy snow last night!
I just looked at their on-line store and it doesn't look like they've gotten spring stock in yet - size selection is limited. I usually get their house Croft & Barrow brand.

Good price. Anyone had any success with buying those before?
Those do look good, and for the price you can't beat it. The one's I get at Kohl's are usually on sale for around $15.

Just ordered a few pairs, they apparently come from Beals (dept store in Florida) through Amazon.
I will report back on how they fit/look when I get them. Thanks for the tip LaxRef.

I can't vouch for them, I just googled "white shorts" and posted the cheapest ones I could find that looked like they fit the bill. But please let me know if they work, because I could always use a few new pairs.
The Kohl's ones were cheap, but it seems to me that they yellow a bit pretty quickly and they were harder to clean than some of the other ones I've gotten.
I still think we should play up the "zebra" angle and go with the Zubaz.
