MCLA Lax Mag Issue 2

Postby culax on Fri Feb 01, 2008 5:42 pm

Just finished reading the second issue of the magazine (it arrived in my mailbox this afternoon) and cannot believe what a first rate job you guys have done. And throwing all that love at Division 2. Thanks for all the hard work.

At the UCSB v. Cal game last night, there was a guy handing out the first issue to people who attended the game. He called it "guerilla marketing."

I'm making a point to mention the magazine as much as I can, to pretty much anyone who will listen.

I suggest getting copies ordered for your schools rec sports department, and even your AD.

Nothing adds legitimacy like a well produced magazine! Plus in this edition you get cool retro pictures (holy cow, is 1994 now retro?) of Coach Graff you can put up in your cubicle at work!

are those not some sweet pics of Rob in 94!

All that is missing is the mullet out the back of the helmet!

Awesome to see a guy still so deeply involved in a game he loves and spreading a wide array of knowledge

Issue was awesome

Nice job on issue #2!

There was a miscomunication in this issue. My defensive coordinator, Vince Smith, was a member of Ray Rostan's staff at Hampden Sydney. Coach Rostan was an assistant coach for Team USA in the World Games not Vince Smith. Coach Smith was the asst coach for last years Div III North South game

and on a side note.....Wheeling Jesuit is D2 - it was almost a flashback article for me....sounded very similar to my expierence when I transfered to UMD from Wheeling as well......

GREAT WORK AS ALWAYS!!!!! AO and Karl are working magic....

I am rather intrested about the back of the magazine and the logos on the lids.. are we running a all time MCLA team maybe?????

I really liked the whole magazine. Especially the article they did on Northeastern. It's great to see that the MCLA is gaining more and more respect for the PCLL which is a great thing.

Issue 2 is the first one i received, and all I can say is Wow! The magazine is fantastic. I love it. I can honestly say that I found nothing bad in this issue. I hope it continues.

Is there any way I can get a copy of Issue 1?

I'll sell you my extra copy for the small sum of $50.00 dollars. Good deal, it's going to worth way more than that!
