I thought I saw Don Shula doing a little "happy dance" somewhere!

They definitely were. Shula said that he was popping the bubbly last night to celebrate.

Am I the only one who feels like Justice was served?

The Pats should have forfeit the game where they were caught cheating at an administrative level.

Maybe I've read one to many Kafka novels, but the sports world just righted itself, karmically speaking.

Joe Gibbs did it vs the Vikings this year. It was pretty close to the same play.

I thought this was pretty funny....

Why I *heart* NY

Because you don’t even have to watch major sports games to know who wins — you can just sit in your apartment and you hear everyone either screaming and honking or groaning and booing as soon as it’s over.

I take it the Giants won tonight?

UPDATE 5 minutes later: This whole yelling/honking/ringing a cowbell thing could get old.

I once asked my German room mate what he thought of Americans. He considered it for a minute before responding, “You guys yell ‘Woo!‘ a lot.” That would appear to be accurate.

My favorite part of the game:

Shots of Peyton Manning in the press box watching the game with some girl more than an arm's length away. When Eli took the lead, he was pumping his fist and being excited like a big bro should and the girl was obviously looking for some sort of high five/hug, but he didn't even acknowledge her. Not sure if Peyton is some sort of cyborg, but that girl got shot down HARD.
Always on point . . .

I wonder if BB had second thoughts about going for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking it? I bet Gostkowski would have liked to take a shot at it, hell I bet Scotty Norwood would have liked a shot at it (oh that was another super bowl). That was one drive that had lot of those "what if's". Giving the ball back to NE on the challenge flag and then going for it on 4-13 to give it to the Giants without putting anything up on the score board.

I don't think that play won or lost the game, I just think it was BB being BB.

I liked the e-trade commercials, you really can't underestimate the creepiness of a clown.

That's awesome; we were ripping on that as well. He didn’t even look her way once.

I thought the Pat's playing calling was a suspect for most of the second half. Not to take anything away from the Giants who looked frickin great. I liked the wing pass screen calls with the Giant's D lines penetration, but they just absolutely ate them alive on those. I was really surprised they didn't break out some type of trick play as well. The last 29 seconds was a little iffy in my opinion. The Giants were giving them 15 off the ball. They could have gotten about 20 to 25 yards in 7 to 9 seconds and then started taking shots. Who knows, with 20 seconds left, one 20 yard pass over the middle and then a quick time out. They possibly could have went for the tie.

the Alford sack at the end was great though. It was indicative of the whole game and a nice exclamation point for the Giants.
7) Let's just say that private school is now an option for my sons and possibly their sons.
Random thoughts from Super Bowl week:

-Phoenix is cold in January... and wet.
-UOP is amazing. i got to ride the field as it traveled inside the stadium.
-Kate Hudson is impatient.
-Carolina's on Mojave has the best tortillas. PERIOD!
-Takeo Spikes is huge.
-Alex Flanagan and Maria Menounos are stunningly beautiful.
-Chad Johnson will never play in Super Bowl.
-Trey Wingo is tall and had to use the same security everyone else did.
-Doing donuts on a golf cart in the Pats end zone at midnight last night, did not seem to upset anyone.
-The Lombardi Trophy is the most beautiful piece of metal I have ever seen or held.
-Don't screw with NFL Security.
-Glendale is not nine miles from Phoenix.
-Spanish language broadcasters have the greatest looking talent by far.
-Tom Petty lipsynched.
-Free Cold Stone at the Media Centre was a nice treat. Even better was the Media lounge with free beer.
-Patriot fans talk a lot of trash but cannot handle losing well at all.
-Antonio Pierce's son wearing his father's helmet during our interview with him was pretty cool.
-Cooper Manning is the ultimate big brother.
-Will Eli Manning become the next Broadway Joe or Joe Pisarcik?
-I cannot wait to get to Tampa.
