I also want to acknowledge how accommodating the folks from Shattuck-St. Mary's were for our game. They bent over backwards to make sure everything went smoothly. That facility is constantly helpful in scheduling early season OOC games for our league. Just wanted to express our appreciation for there efforts.

On a separate topic, the rally for the Democrats & Hillary Clinton will be held at Augsburg on Sunday, so it should not affect the game this evening. They will be moving things into the Dome after the game, so we might be whisked out of there shortly after the final horn, but there should not be any direct impact on the game. Contact we with any questions or concerns.

Congrats to Augsburg college and Head Coach Jon Harris for their first wins, way to display how good Minnesota lax is.

Early report from Northern Michigan is that Eau Claire won both games against Ferris State and Northern Michigan. 9-8 against Ferris State and against 11-7 Northern Michigan. Congrats on their big OOC victories. NDSU lost to Northern Michigan, but is winning 7-1 against Ferris State.

Any word on how Carleton did today?

Rumor is that they did not have a legally-equipped goalkeeper and had to forfeit.

Goalie must have a goalie crosse, a chest protector, and a throat protector in addition to gloves and a helmet. I believe the throat protector was the problem.

Congratulations Auggies...First win for a new coach. That feels great. And to Eau Claire. Those out of conference wins are looking very good. I too heard rumors that Carleton had to forfeit due to a lack of a throat protector for the goalie. I also wanted to say congratulations to the U of M tonight. St. Cloud's numbers look very down, and although the game looked rough, the U showed some definite signs of good things to come. It should be a great season for the UMLL...

Agreed on all counts. St. Cloud really stayed tough despite having less than half the squad the U did. Their goalie took a lot of heat, and still played strong. And to the U, congrats, you've got quite a crop of fast middies, I'm looking forward to seeing you guys mature this year.

And to EC, I remember going to NMU our first time and getting toasted in each of our games three, shut out in one and losing another by 15... To hear of such success coming from Marquette is great. Leaps and bounds, guys, leaps and bounds.

NDSU- 19
Ferris St.- 6

Congratulations to NDSU and coach Cameron Pederson, they've come a long way. Also, it was a very proud feeling to see 2 UMLL teams have the upper hand in Saturday's games with a somewhat hostile NMU crowd.

Just wanted to thank NDSU and UW-Eau Claire for making the trip up to NMU this past weekend. This being our teams only chance to have home games its always nice to have good competition and we look forward to making it better and better every year.Hope you all enjoyed the Superior Dome, its a unique place to play, and I hope that the town of Marquette was welcoming. Again thanks to NDSU, UW-Eau Claire and Ferris (CCLA) for making the trip and we look forward to it again next year.
