that is adrians team but I imagine that is still their club team they had formed from the past years. Who knows how many of them, if any, will get asked to play next year.
The win over UMD puts Saginaw to 2-0 over CCLA B North teams i believe. This is a bonus when it comes time to apply i would say. Cant wait to get the rivalary game SVSU vs GVSU in lacrosse just like it is in football.

good luck with getting a scrimmage the week most teams have their first practices. GVSU has a freshmen "welcome" orientation where all clubs have booths set up which isnt till that week and i can imagine other universities have this too. Good luck and maybe GVSU and SVSU can play later in the month. Ill see what i can do.

Timing
I appreciate your concerns about the timing. We did think it was going to be a concern for some. I need you to understand that this is an opportunity given to us by some important people in our administration. The idea is to showcase our lacrosse team and more importantly the game of lacrosse to our community. A team that could understand that importance would be a true friend to SVSU LaX and the sport.
We do offer our shower facilities after the game and will feed all in a planned tailgate. Please consider this a favor to us. We are here to play lacrosse, let's try to put all worries aside and do it.

North or South
Gvlax:
I do not know the answer to that as I cannot remember it being settled for sure at the Fall meeting. I do not know if a Saginaw Valley Representative observes the forum either. I noticed in MCLA magazine that SVSU is not even listed as a team in the CCLA.
I can remember speaking with a UMDearborn representative and they were concerned that they would be the ones moved to the South division. Seven teams in the north, five teams in the south, who moves? The team that is closest? The team that is lowest in seniority?
What will the league do next year if Davenport, Aquinas, and John Carroll are admitted to the league? That makes nine Michigan/North teams and six south teams in the Division 2. Fifteen teams could make a nice five, five, five/west, central, east split up.

Tough question as to who would move but my guess is this wont be resolved till next fall since the number difference between divisions is not that great. But next year with Davenport attempting to get in and then the other two you mentioned would definitely force change the the divisions since two of those teams are in the Grand Rapids area.

I recall from the Fall meeting that SVSU would be in the North. There will just be an imbalance between North (7) and South (5). All North teams would still have to play each other even though they have more teams than the south. It will just be more challenging in the North to get a playoff spot as more teams are competing for it. I'm pretty sure everyone agreed that they were OK with that scenario. If someone recalls different please post.
