Josh Howard and Paul Pierce are small forwards where Rasheed, Duncan, and Amare all play a majority of their minutes at the Center position, so I doubt hed be given that task to handle. I'm not saying he's going to be a hall of fame quality player in the NBA, but having Okafor numbers with more athleticism is probably ok with most teams. In fact drafting anyone with 11/11 capabilities seems like a good idea.
Just my opinion, but I think he is more of a LaMarcus Aldridge/ Nick Collison player who plays PF rather than C, and I think this translates into a solid NBA game

Uh Lamarcus Aldridge is gonna be an All-Star one day in the league, unlike Tyler H. Most everyone is correct that he'll be Josh McRoberts, Raef LaFrentz, Scot Pollard, etc. They call Hansbrough athletic cuz he can move around a little bit against college players from UNC-Asheville and College of Charleston (no offense). But when he faces Jeremis Smith (GT), Al Horford, Julian Wright, Roy Hibbert (Hoyas), etc. he doesnt look as athletic anymore. he has a future in the league, but watching games from the bench isnt as exciting as playing them. and maybe he doesnt even get to do that cuz he'll be in Council Bluffs, Iowa or Butte, Montana playing in the D-League.
peace.

I don't think he has a chance of averaging a double double in the NBA. Of course my credibility is shot after referring to Dwight Howard as Josh Howard in my previous post. I have already fired my editor.
Whether you consider Pierce a small forward or Duncan and Amare centers is kind of irrelevant. You have to look at who Hansbrough would have to cover. Is Big Ty going to stick Pierce or Kevin Garnett? Are you going to put Tyler on Rasheed or throw a more traditional center at 'Sheed and have Hansbrough cover Tayshaun Prince or Antonio McDyess? Better yet, who's Tyler covering against the Sonics. I sure hope it's not Kevin Durant.
He's a solid second round pick and might find 10-15 minutes against a small lineup but I just don't think he can hack it with the big boys. But seriously, MJ is an idiot and I would not be surprised at all if he takes him in the first round and pushes for an entire starting five of overrated former Tar Heels.
Hansbrough
Felton
May
McInnis
maybe mortgage the future to get Vince Carter or bring Joe Forte out of retirement

You could probably pick up King Rice or Steve Hale.

Doesn't sound like a bad career. You never have to worry about getting injured
Trust me, I would LOVE to get paid 6 figures to sit at the end of a bench and stare at the various dance teams and girls in the stands.

His ability to ball handle/shoot/rebound/defend/etc. make him one of the best players in the NCAA, and probably will be one of the better players if he gets to the NBA. He isnt one dimensional like many of the other pf/c in the collegiate game
Really? Who's he going to defend? Josh Howard, Tim Duncan, Rasheed Wallace, Elton Brand, Amare Stoudemire Paul Pierce...name one PF in the NBA Hansborough could handle. Hansborough might be a poor man's Luke Walton but that's about it.
Hansborough is like Emeka Okafor on a good day but more likely will be Josh McRoberts with a degree, a nice college player that will be a stiff in the NBA. Only an idiot drafts him before the second round so MJ will probably take him early.
im awarding reputation points for being a great NBA mind like myself....

That's "four-time NBA Champion Will Perdue" to you.
I saw him play the Sixers in the old Spectrum once. We were contemplating how close he could come to a triple-double in missed FG, turnovers, and FTs given up by fouling.

He will always have a place on a Don Nelson coached team. He is always in need of an Unathletic Seven Footer. Shawn Bradley, Raef LaFrentz, Wang Zhi Zhi, Pavel Podkolzin, Dirk to some extent.
