PNCLL Week #7 (3/16-3/22) - Predict, Scores & Discuss

Hey Linfield, just play aggressive, work the ball around quickly just like you do, and take your shots. You guys are every bit as good as the teams you're about to play- REMEMBER that! Then when you come home with the wins, know that everyone in the PNCLL was pulling for you guys.

I hope you guys can redeem a little bit of lost pride for the PNCLL this weekend.

From what I saw BSU is a physically aggressive team. They like to get into with you a bit and try and push you around some. They'll make you pay for your mistakes but will also give you a chance to take advantage of theirs. I think Linfield has a good chance to win this game.

UVSC, on the other hand, is a very different team. They really aren't that big, but they are quick. A whole lot of them are. I really only payed attention to the middies and for the most part, they are shifty and see the field very well. They iso from up top a lot and look to dish when the slide comes. They'll see it and they'll hit it. They are a confident team and don't seem to panic. I was really impressed with the ball movement in open field situations. Their LSM #1 is always present and really good so you might want to keep tabs on the kid. #23 was the best of the middies when we played them and #11 (attack) is pretty quick himself. I'm not making any predictions here, but if Linfield plays to the potential most of us see in them this game should be fun to watch.

2. What happened to UW goalie Tim Jackson from last year? Had about 30 saves against CSU in 2004.

Apparently UW was not happy with their play. Seems like they were just flat. Chapman was up something like 10-4 before UW started to come together a bit.

This was a tremendous game with big momentum swings, big plays (like SFU scoring with 17 seconds left to tie the game at the end of regulation) and great drama. Story to follow...

Panthers jumped out to big lead, but Clansmen kept battling back. With less than four minutes remaining Chapman still led by three, but SFU scored three times in barely a minute to tie the game. Metoyer scored the game winner off an unsettled situation with 38 seconds left to break the 10-10 tie.

I got to watch Gonzaga kill BSU. (17-5 when i left in the 4th) Any word on why all of BSU's attack were out? Linfield should definately take advantage of the fact that there scorers are gone and take it to them. Good luck PNCLL with UVSC!!

When we played them... there was a lot of illegal equipment issues, and 1 seemed to be hurting and not moving to well. Maybe the refs actually didn't allow the equipment on the field, or maybe injuries... Maybe Spring Break.... Who knows...
