Northeasstern may be a little bit on the ugly side regarding a campus but you cant beat going to college in the heart of Boston. An awesome city, especially for college age kids and a great place to go to school. Plus there are like 200 colleges in or around boston so there is always a great bar scene...and girls.

That building is Northeastern's satellite campus in Dedham, MA a good 25-30 minutes away from NU. The Dedham is where professional development and night classes and such are offered.

Check out NU's real campus, for being in the middle of a major city, it's awesome:

Yeah it actually looks great in those pictures. Plus if you're close to Boston that's got to factor in somewhere.

I don't think a school from the SEC (except Alabama's fountain . . .?) can make the most beautiful universities list just because they all sort of look the same with the old school architecture which I think is great looking but if you put one on you'd have to list them all.

If you want to see the ugliest, most expensive college building ever that was supposed to incorporate modern art, look up MIT's famous building (I can't think of the name so it's not that famous but my friend from there showed me and it's hideous) on a search bar.

Nope, I think he means the new Stata Center, that was designed by the same guy that designed the Disney Opera House in L.A. (I think that's what it is known as)

That would be Frank Gehry - pretty well-known architect. Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain, the Disney Concert Hall, Experience Music Project in Seattle, and the Weisman Art Museum at the U of Minnesota.
Very unusual designs to say the least.

The guys tell me it's getting better. I'm not sure about that. They thank their lucky stars that Pitt and Duquesne are next door.

Northeastern is very beautiful. That one should not be on the list.

And with respect to Texas A&M, I am guessing much of the grey is because of the Corps of Cadets history and the natural "bland" taste that comes with military colleges/universities.

The beautiful ones are stupid, too. Pepperdine is on the ocean, but the structure of the campus itself is morbid.

How are Harvard and Columbia not on the list? Some of the Big Ten schools should also be on there...

Whoever wrote this reminds me of a 15 year old.

It's in the wiki article, but I had heard before that MIT is suing the design firm because the building is leaking and collecting water and whatnot.
