Former Philadelphia star expecting rude welcome

Gary Gait knows all about brotherly love. Just ask his identical twin, Paul. He's also all too familiar with the City of Brotherly Love, and he expects the full treatment Friday when he makes his final regular-season appearance in Philadelphia.
Pay no mind to his five seasons with the Wings and two National Lacrosse League championships, including MVP honors in 1995. Gait expects to be treated like every other vilified visiting star.
"They're very intense in Philly, very supportive of their lacrosse team," Gait said. "They want to win."
Gait dismissed the idea that they might bestow a gift upon the NLL's all-time leading scorer before he retires after this season.
Unknown to the humble Mammoth captain, the Wings have prepared a Gait video highlight, and at halftime they will honor the 1995 title team, which included Mammoth general manager Steve Govett.
Gait fondly remembers his Philly days, but he promises no nostalgia.
