Who is the Best in the NFC/AFC?
how are the colts not ahead of the steelers? the steelers follow up a loss to the jets with a 3 to 0 win over the 0-11 dolphins....
on possibly the worst field conditions in the history of the NFL.
true, that loss the the Jets was bad, real bad. I think I would go with Indy over the Steelers just because of that, and not the MNF nightmare.
speaking of the Jets...I have not seen a team play worse or look as bad as they did on Thanksgiving. That was horrendous.
Pats 41
Ravens 10

Because they followed it up with a win. Albeit not a great win.
I like the steelers run game and defense. Roethelisberger has been playing great all year. Very efficient
The colts are great, and it should probably be 2a and 2b, but who knows.
If i were the colts i would worry about Jax this weekend, they are going to be a tough game.
I must say I am pumped about the game tonight. It has been years since the cowboys were playing a game with Home-field advantage theoretically on the line. Sorry to all those who don't have NFL network, cause tonights game is going to be freakin Incredible.
Cowboys 31 Packers 30. Boys win on a last second field Goal by Nick Folk after Tony Romo drives them down the field on completions to Owens, Witten, Crayton, and Barber.

What did we learn last night?
1) The Cowboys have a sick offense. They might be the only ones that can score with the Patriots.
2) Aaron Rogers looks ready to me. Maybe other teams will see that giving a kid 3 years on the bench to learn is A GOOD THING. His surfer-boy dazed and confused look is a little disconcerting.
3) The Pack may have lost by 10 but they are not 10 points worse than the Cowboys. If there is a rematch in the playoffs it's a toss up, especially if Favre plays the whole game.
4) TO still drops the ball more than any other big time receiver.
5) The spot of the foul PI is one of the worst penalties in football. That last one that set up the clinching score was a joke.

I watched that entire game, and it looked to me that only Dallas could stop themselves...I saw a few Romo overthrows to open receivers on 3rd downs, and of course multiple drops by TO and company, not to mention Green Bay's first touchdown came after a dumb Dallas penalty that gave the packers a fresh set of downs. In my eyes, that game was much more lopsided than the score, itself. It could have easily been 44-20 Cowboys.

The same could be said for that last PI that gave Dallas the ball inside the 5. I just think that with a healthy Fahvurah, a competent ground game (Grant had 94 yards and 2 TDs), and some defensive adjustments GB is an even match. Maybe favor Dallas by 3-5 points in a playoff rematch.
The Pack should also have gone for it rather than kick that 52 yarder. (Editor's note: StrykerFSU is an avid TMQ reader and anything Easterbrook says is taken as gospel)

What did I learn Last Night?
1. More reaffirmation that the Cowboys have a great QB on their team. Looks like the Packers have their next great QB.
2. One could argue that the Packers were a much better team when Favre got hurt. Favre looked lost, throwing into double and triple coverage and throwing balls as he was about to get hit. It was obvious that he pretty much freaks out when he was about to get hit.
3. While i feel ryan grant is a big time runner, that Touchdown shouldn't have happened, Hamlin and Roy Williams ran into each other.
4. Yes, Charles Woodson and KGB were hurt, but the o-line shut down campman and Owens was able to get open against (the name escapes me) their other DB.
5. The Cowboys are better than the Packers, but in this league where any given sunday anyone can win, you can't count them out.
6. I don't see anyone stopping the Cowboys, except for the Patriots.
7. Lastly, In any NFL game, there are always one or two plays that you could argue that if they would have gone the other way, the outcome would have been different.

This weeks top 5's
AFC
1. Patriots - may have stolen a victory, with some help with from the fans, but they stillwon the game against a very good defense.
2. Colts - Held off a very good Jaguars team.
3. Steelers - Nice win against a bad team - they drop a spot. How bad are the Bengals ... wow
4. Jaguars - Still a very good team, proved it in loss to Indy.
5. Chargers - Begining to put some wins together and create some separation in the AFC west.
Dropped out
Cleveland - Can't lost to the Cardinals
NFC
1. Cowboys - nice win against Green Bay but have a tough match up this weekend at detroit
2. Green Bay - May have found the next QB of the future in Aaron Rodgers, therefore, might have been a victory for the long run
3. Giants - Won despite Eli Manning
4. Seattle - Getting better and showing they are the best in the west.
5. Tampa Bay - Looking good in most aspects of the game.

I agree, John - and his name is Isiah Stanback. But they are playing him at wide receiver.

Stanback i definately a great athlete, but has had injury problems all year. I am hoping he turns into an Antwaan Randle El type.

1. Patriots - will run the table if they have decent weather at Pitt
2. Colts - will be nice when marv comes back
3. Steelers - seems like the weather gods hate them.
4. Jaguars - Forgot Freddy T was still alive till recently
5. Chargers - LT, LT, LT, LT. Chambers needs to find himself.
NFC
1. Cowboys - TO needs to stop dropping passes, secondary is huge weak spot.
2. Green Bay - receivers are too good, kampman is the new freeney
3. Seattle - Play in a horrible division, morris has filled in nicely
4. Vikings- tjack is figuring things out, AP/Taylor is a sick combo, defense will win games with takeaways and the Williams wall (yes, im a homer)
5. saints - drew brees has finally figured it out, reggie is nothing special- just an average back

Well as a life-long Cowboys hater I'm sure hoping Dallas doesn't figure out that Isaiah could be much better than Romo at QB. Now I'll admit that Romo has definitely improved, but I think he is being over-rated because the entire Cowboys team is so much better overall. Stanback is a better passer than Michael Vick or Vince Young, and pretty damn close as a runner. If given a chance at QB he could really shine in the NFL, whereas at wideout will probably never be more than a 3rd or 4th option.
