Lacrosse in Mexico?

Postby msum26 on Wed Oct 31, 2007 11:21 am

Recently I have been in contact with Joe Gold of the IFL. We had informal discussions about starting a Mexican National Team.

I have combined my efforts with that of Ilhad Rodriguez in California to start the realization of this goal.

i am returning to Mexico after my graduation from Minnesota State University Moorhead. So i post this just to gauge interest in players, coaches, supporters.

any ideas, help, encouragement would be greatly welcomed.

hopefully this idea will become a realization in the next few years.

I know a kid who is a sick goalie who lives in Mexico City/Chiapas. He played for my JV team in high school and while he doesnt have good skills he has incredible natural talent as a ball stopper. I saw soem of the craziest saves of my life from him, he was also an all-new england soccer goalie so i guess thats where his reactions come from. im sure lots of soccer players would be interested in lax down there

Put an add in the back of inside lacrosse or something. Judging by the random BS they advertise back there, its probably not that expensive or difficult to do. There have to be so many people that qualify to play with the whole grandparents-from-that-country eligibility rules (if I remember correctly).

Good luck!!!
