Brine Kings/Exodus 2 Gloves

Postby Rob Graff on Wed Jul 25, 2007 2:34 pm

All:

Any experience/thougths about these two gloves (Kings/ Exodus2)? I"m curious to learn if there were any more incidence of hand injury by those who used these gloves.

Please share your experiences, and any of your teammates.

After using the King's for about 5 months, I can say I haven't had any hand injuries. I also haven't taken any large hits to the hand.

They are much lighter and free-er in motion than the first pair of Warriors we got. Excellent feel on the glove when broken in, but for optimal feel you need to cut out the sweet pad, it makes the glove too tight.

From feel and looking at things, I would say the Warrior ones we had are more protective than the Kings.

PM me or chat at summer league if you want more opinion + you can look at mine.

I have not heard any complaints about either glove from the guys on the Machine. A couple wear the Exodus because the Kings are too big. They seem to be holding up well.

Kings/Exodus

My 2 cents...

Personally, I can't stand the Exodus glove. I have the first model instead of the Exodus 2, but they don't seem all that different so I'll just review the first. The protection is minimal at best. I have taken some pretty nasty checks to the wrist wearing them and now have a permanent finger injury according to the doctor. Who needs a finger though, right? The floating cuff thing they come with is not comfortable at all and pretty much does nothing. The mesh rips on the palms which helps you feel the stick I suppose, but does nothing else for you. The glove itself is comfortable but nothing special. They are somewhat undersized compared to most Warrior gloves I've seen/owned.

Anyone know anything else about the Kings? It's getting ridiculous how expensive these things are getting while at the same time offering less protection. I tried to not deal with Warrior anymore because of all the product failure in my past but I'm thinking they're probably a better bet in the end if you can get past the price.
