What a rainy season we have!

Postby Brent Burns on Wed Mar 16, 2005 11:35 pm

Reading from conference to conference, the most common theme is that most of the games have been played in the rain. How is this year's weather compared to the years in the past?

Knocking on wood as I type this, the weather in Eugene has been the best it has ever been in my three years here. We haven't even had a practice in the rain. Hopefully it will stay that way.

Here in the NE, I wish we were playing in rain. Unfortunately, our fields are still covered in snow. Even some of the turf fields are still unplayable.

Here in SoCal, it has rained an ungodly amount. El Nino...ridiculous. I always thought that was joke, but now that I live here, I'm a believer. The LA area currently has 3 times the amount of rain as the Pacific Northwest.

in nor cal, this year has been tough on the fields, but great for the slopes...

get up to tahoe over spring break! it's supposed to snow this weekend, on top of an already great base from all 14 ft they've gotten so far this season.

this is a great time for some spring skiing/boarding.
