Alex, since you have seen the Blade 2.0, how does it compare in flexibility to other Warrior heads? I am assuming that the Blade 2.0 will have a similar face shape as the other 2.0 lines, am I correct?

Oops, sorry for the delay. I think it is very similar to the original Blade, but it appears to be much wider and designed so that it won't pinch so easily. The Face-off version looks closer to the old Blades in my opinion.

I'm not a big fan of the new F-off's. The sidewalls are different, making pocket placement quite difficult. I see Warrior's strategy in bringing back the blade, they just screwed up in the design i think

I heard there were problems with the new Cascade helmet and it likely being delayed more, but I'm just spreading 3rd hand rumors.

The Reebok gear does look impressive, I noticed they've got a bit of Harrow's former talent working for them.

There is a problem with the new cascades from what I have been told as well.

Does it have to do with the sizes? It seems like they are smaller...

I will just pipe in with some Adidas thoughts. I am familiar with the product and here is a rundown.

They broke their line into three groups, advanced, intermediate, and beginner.

Advanced - Ti shaft with offset head. Pads are nice but nothing special. Gloves are OK. Comfortable but they dont stand out.

Intermediate - 7075 Shaft with another offset head. Their sticks are actually nice and I like their heads so thats one positive. The gear again is nothing special. I think they were hoping people liked it for the standard Adidas "three stripes" on everything.

Beginner - Stick is the best intro stick I have seen. Its cheap and the head is nicer than the intro stuff from Brine and STX. Equipment is really low end and should not be used in anything other than youth. I guess that was the point?

The best parts of their lines are their cleats and their jerseys. They have three cleats, the bottom two I believe to be the best. They make an attack (low) and defense (mid) and both are really nice.

The nicest part of their lacrosse gear are their jerseys. They offer a couple lines of cut and sew jerseys and and several sublimation jerseys. They are all very nice and I would highly recommend.

That new cascade is sick...OU is going to be going to all Pro7's at the start of the 2008 fall-ball season next august. Buddy of mine who plays on the east coast just got one, said its the best helmet in the sport of lacrosse right now

Little discussed fact about the Riddell: It is significantly heavier than other helmets, meaning sparring or helmet to helmet hits by a Riddell-wearer greatly increases the risk of injury or concussion to the opposing player.

The new Brine and Warrior helmets also both have major anti-concussion measures taken. I agree that concussions are a very serious part of our game, but Riddell was just the first to address it, not the only.

So are the new Cascade no better protection-wise than their predecessors? I have only seen one in passing, but the padding system looks significantly different.
