Who will be in MN. (A division)

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

FSU is at a crossroads in their season. Without Paustian sparking the offense from the midfield they are not as dynamic from up top. They really need some younger guys to become bigger threats. I also don't think that they run their offense to get Romanchuk shots, 1g and 1a yesterday, mind boggling. This can still be a very dangerous team in the SELC when they are all on the same page. Unfortunately that was not the case against Minnesota and hitting at least 5 pipes didn't help. They all play with their emotions on their sleeves and this costs them be it by arguing with officials or each other. If they can manage to right the ship so to speak and finish the season strong, then I feel they are still worthy of going to Mn.

Agree that they may need to win the SELC to get in now. This loss should drop them in the rankings below what is necessary to gain an at-large berth. Opens the door for a number of teams now, as the 8-15 slots are wide open and a lot of teams jockeying for those positions.

The 2nd tier teams, let's just say the 8-15 seeds, are unclear at best. UCSD vs GT will help sort this out, as will Poly-Utah, and Va Tech-FSU, among others.

I think it would be hard for the SELC to get 3 teams with FSU's recent loss. But the RMLC could get 4 if Utah continues their strong play. And in the WCLL, the shakeout of Chico, UCSD and Poly will decide who, and not if, the 4th team will be. But if you do the math, one of these three leagues is going to get shorted. Assuming the CCLA gets 2 and the GRLC, LSA, UMLL, PCLL and PNCLL all get 1, there are only 9 remaining spots.

But hell, it's all speculation at this point...

What if UNH and BC only beat each other, UNH and BC finally traveled in the same season, swept their trips and it is inconceivable for them both to be in Mn?

It's going to be difficult, if not impossible, for UNH to get an at-large. They don't play anyone who is rated other than BC. At #22 now, I don't see how they get to #12 or #13 in order to get an at-large berth.
