I know there's a ton of club Lacrosse specific rivalries across the nation, but does anyone else play for something other than a "W?"
For example, the Univ. of Kansas and Univ. of Missouri play each spring as a required conference game, and the winner takes home an actual civil war sword (it has historical relevance...Kansas was a free state and Missouri was a slave state). Winner keeps the sword on their mantle for the remainder of the year!
Do any other schools have something similar???
Rivalries with "incentive"

Carnegie Mellon being in a conference with untraditional opponents has made this type of affair difficult. Dayton and CMU have been working to build something unique by ensuring that our games are at the end of the year with the intent of playing for something and building for a yearly event.
In the CCLA Michigan and MSU by far have the largest event and seem to have the deepest natural rivalry.

well you always have the UST and SJU rivalry, which is definitely worth more than the "W"...

I'm working with the BSU club president on getting an "Idaho Cup" that will go to the winner of the BSU/Idaho conference game every spring. The rivalry is definitely in tact.

the duel in the desert is always pretty crazy. last year the stands were overflowing and a couple hundred people were on the sidelines too. 2 years ago we filled the scc football stadium too...

is there any sort of trophy given to the desert rivalry winner (other than looking good in front of a few thousand fans)?
Some teams name tournaments after people that have impacted their programs...know of any out there? Kansas State hosts a fall-ball tournament named after a helicopter pilot that lost his life fighting overseas (he'd coached the program early on...i believe). Winner takes home the trophy for the next year that is named also in his memory. Any teams have anything similar???
Cheers!
