New GRLC Website

New GRLC Website

Postby bste_lax on Sun Jan 23, 2005 10:08 pm

The GRLC has a new website which can be found at http://www.grlc.org.

It was done by Fern Web Design Services, which many of you know from other USL MDIA conference sites, and coming from a web designer myself, it is a real nice site.

When the season starts and we have stats to report, where will we send them? Do we e-mail them to the webmaster? Will there be a link where we can submit them? Am I even asking this question in the correct forum?

By the way, it is a very nice website. Thanks to whoever was involved in making it.

More then likely it will be done on the web site. I am guessing you will be getting an e-mail from Kyle or someone on the matter.

Jay, as far as I know you should have received a login and password from Coach Turner. There is a stats/score section under the administration heading but its not activated yet. Daryl is still working on the site and a lot of thanks goes to him for all the work he did over Christmas for us.

I hope this helps

I just noticed one little thing about the website. The GRLC logo doesn't include South Dakota in the picture of all the states. The furthest north it goes is Nebraska and Iowa. Is it possible to fix that? If not, it really doesn't matter...I'm just being nit-picky for no good reason.

The logo was designed a couple years ago when the GRLC first formed, hence no South Dakota. There has been talk about changing it and I guess this gives us good reason to.

The GRLC logo also includes Oklahoma and Mississippi (w/ no current GRLC representation). This is why I made the original suggestion to the conferences to avoid any geography-based logos. You see the underlying problems develop as the conference memberships change.

Just being a little nit-picky myself.....on your website it says "buy a Illinois lacrosse t-shirt".....it should say buy AN Illinois lacrosse t-shirt.

Other than that, the site is very impressive. good work
