The Ducks were down in Cali this past weekend. They played a full game against NDNU and two 30min running halves against NOMA and POLY. The Ducks lost 11-10 against NDNU in the final seconds of the game on Saturday marking their closest game against the Argos. On Sunday they shut out both WCLL teams and scored a handful of goals against each (dont know official scores). This is exciting to hear for Duck fans. The team has over 20 incoming players who saw a lot of PT and played well over the weekend. Congratulations Duck!
The true test will come this Friday night when the Ducks play host to their elders in the annual Alumni Game. The Alumni will be returning last years line-1 middies along with at least 5 more AA's from previous years. If only the old guys had just gone through 3 weeks of conditioning as well...
The Ducks will also host a handful of PNCLL teams this November during the Annual Fall Classic in Eugene. It will most definitely be good practice for the upcoming season.. Go Ducks!
ps. The Oregon Football team is going all the way...!

It's not so exciting for the rest of us in the PNCLL to hear the Ducks shut out two quality teams like SSU and CPSLO, Julian. I'm not sure if it is depressing or just scary. But I'll bet Joe was a little relieved that the Argos hung on to win their game against UO, not sure if he would have liked starting his varsity coaching career with a loss to a club team!

I'm sure Joe was sitting on the sideline pulling his hair while watching his former team come back from being down 9-3 to take the lead. I also hear Joe recently got engaged this weekend. Weird how once he leaves Eugene he finally grows up into a man...haha

Alumni win a close one 10-9. There were at least 25 alumni out for the game. The old guys still got it! Go Ducks!

You're telling me...It's too bad the current players won't get to go to this epic game at Autzen Stadium. GO DUCKS!!! (lax and football)
