The hog-tie job looks second rate, otherwise, nice grab!

Reminds me of Assateague Island and the annual roundup.

I haven't been able to catch one of these deer-fishies yet, but had a decent season landing chinook. This photo of me with a nice 17-lb hatchery buck was taken by former Duke defensive star Greg Ehrnman on his boat about two months ago:

Sure was tasty that night on the BBQ, and also yielded a full smoker-load
the next day.

This beauty is a native (wild) 20-lb hen I caught off the beach in August and had to release:

Not too good a catch ratio for coho the past six weeks, though. I've only taken about 7 or 8 total, when during the normal Fall run I usually land four or five times that many. No fresh salmon in the fridge right now, a rarity for me this time of year. Guess I better gear up for winter steelhead, since the coho fishery has been such a bust in '07...

This is what I got last year with my brother off Niantic in long island sound. I thought it was a good size, but he always says it was better the day before.

I think the strangest thing I ever caught was a duck. I was fishing off my grandparents' dock at Lake Granbury with minnows. It was odd.

Here is some advice for all fishermen. When you hold the fish up for pictures it will look bigger the closer you hold to the camera and further away from your body.

Tex, that is commonly referred to as "long-arming", and is a very prevalent method of posing with your catch on all the fishing websites I regularly log on to. I don't personally feel long-arming is necessary, actually I prefer just showing the fish itself. Here's one of my most recent catches, a nice fat 9-lb silver (coho) with the "Buzz Bomb" I caught it on. The joke up here is that it doesn't matter what color lure you use, as long as it is green

Any other avid anglers among you Laxxers who care to share pics of your catches? Let's see 'em!
