does anyone want to take a stab at a D2 top 25 poll since the A division is doing the whole outlook thing?

I cannot speak for much of the rest of the D2 division, but I would argue that St. Thomas doesn't drop out of the Top 25. They made the tournament last year and I know they will be back to compete for the UMLL D2 championship.

Gonna leave UVSC off until there are reports on how they regroup. But they have been a very good team in the past

Can't
Difficult for many of us DI folks to rank the DII teams, because (with a few notable exceptions) most of you guys don't play extensive OOC schedules and we can only go on intra-conference results. Tough to compare all the schools without these OOC games to analyze.

Nobody FORCED Montana up, Branden, the new rules haven't even gone into effect! The Grizzlies petitioned to move permanently to DI, and the PNCLL membership overwhelmingly voted to allow it. Montana has built a terrific MCLA program and is also the largest public university in their state. They really have nothing left to prove against the little colleges in the PNCLL with enrollments of less than 3,000 undergrads. I, for one, am really looking forward to having yet one more tough conference team to compete against this coming season and beyond.

UC Irvine is ineligible for post season MCLA championship play, therefore, they should not be included in the poll, the same thing would apply to any other team that is excluded from MCLA championship play. Also, it is now Division 2 not Division B, can we change the title of this thread?

- St. Thomas lost almost no one of major impact (madden on D), they just need to be able to perform on the big stage. Michaelson and King are a tough combo to beat. Julius could be one of the premier middies in Div 2.
- SJU lost 2 major impact players, one defender (willman) and attack (ivory, who was lost mid season due to torn ACL and graduated). They have reloaded with HS All American Tony Donna who is supposedly meshing well with kubovec and freeman. Strauss is overseas for fall so hopefully that wont hurt his performance.
- Westminster lost almost no one??? They should be back and fully loaded. The Div 2 matchup of the year could come when SJU goes and Plays Westminster in Utah.
- Harding's whole flow revolved around one sick player who graduated (stosack sp??), they have low numbers but you never know.
- Dayton was solid and well coached, and very organized. The loss of Alfier could hurt as he was a very good offensive player.
Eau Claire could be a solid sleeper team as their numbers grow and their depth is increased.

IMHO... Westminster unquestionably belongs in the #1 spot. It sure would be nice to see some UMLL vs. RMLC Div. 2 play during the regular season.

SJU is traveling to Salt Lake to play Westminster and Fort Lewis. Not sure on the date but i would assume it is Feb or early march.
