How can you not say that a team that looses 20-2 and is 0-3 should not drop?

While I've only seen 7 of the top 25 teams, I doubt there are many other Division B teams that wouldn't also be 0-3.

i agree with andy... the losses are not the issue, it is who the losses came against. Fort lost to an A team, and the number one and two ranked b teams. In theory, they could still be ranked as high as three. I am not trying to make that claim, but unless the teams lower than fort are assumed to be a better team, there is no reason they should move down in the rankings.
again, as i stated in earlier posts, we will need to wait and see how the season develops. UVSC is playing pncll teams this weekend, and then fort plays uvsc next weekend. After that we will have a much better idea of the relative strenght of conferences and also the individual teams.

UVSC won today against PLU 11-9. The game looked like it could have gone either way, but I was very impressed with UVSC. They were very skilled, and very classy at all points before after and during the game.
In theory, Ft. Lewis could be the #3, but I think all of us are hoping that the top two aren't that far ahead of the rest of us. In their defense, what a way to start the beginning of the season. If they started with a few problems to sort out, we all do, especially us, they had a tough road to get on track.

interesting
I am interested to see what happens with the next poll, considering unranked Boise State beat two top ten teams(PLU and UPS) and gave a game to UVSC. This could constitute Montana rising in the polls, considering they beat Boise State.

Boise is ineligible to be ranked in the Div B Poll. They are classified as a MDIA Division A school by the MDIA Board of Directors due to their 1-A Football team status.

Does this mean BSU games played against other B teams mean nothing towards polls?

Ofcourse the BSU game will be considered in the polls for the eligible teams involved this past weekend.

But will it be looked upon as playing against a Div A team or a Div B team?

As a voter, it will be looked at as playing a team that lost to UVSC by 5, Montana by 2 (off the top of my head), beat PLU by 1 and UPS by 2. Games vs. common opponents will be looked at. Division has very little to do with it, it's how well you played against an opponent, and how well they played against other opponents.

Utah Valley State vs Texas - Arlington
From Durango, Colorado in 40 degree partly cloudy weather.
Score at halftime: UVSC 8, UTA 3
UVSC has scored another four already in the 3rd.
UTA lost their big middie #52 I think to a calf or hamstring problem early in the game.

More of the same, final score UVSC 16, UTA 6
Temperature probably dropped a good 25 degrees during the game, sun's just about to set right now.
The big RMLC match-up of Utah Valley State and Ft. Lewis is said to be at 3pm tomorrow.

Hopefully this will move us up in the rankings some
Looks like a shootout, would have been a ton of fun to watch.
