John & Bill:

It goes without saying that the entire lacrosse community is pulling for your players' speedy recovery and we all are praying for the families & friends of the players. We are encouraged to hear that some players are going to be OK and await word on the ones that are still battling for their recovery. May God be with all of the LU family.

From all of us with the UMD team - best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery to all those injured. And Bill, to echo Catlax, honoring your daughter's birthday was the right thing to do - don't blame yourself.

Apparantly the coach and his "two young sons" are among those in hospital.

The pictures don't make it look good, we should be thankful everyone is alive. My prayers are with everyone involved.

Our thoughts are with them as well here at GT.

On another note, one of the variety of reasons the game was played originally was for healing. I think a great thing to do would be to dedicate this week's games to the recovery of the LU team. It might sound corny and hokey to some, but this was the way of life for many generations and was taken as seriously as attending a church, temple, mosque, etc. is today. Aside from the obvious few things you can do, I can't think of a better way to send out your thoughts, prayers, etc. than to go out and play lacrosse for those kids.

I don't think that it can be said enough, that all of our prayers are with the players, their families and teammates at this time.

Not much more news than what you've seen. I am sure I speak for all of us at Liberty when I say thank you for the kind words, thoughts, dedication and prayers.

One thing I learned from picking up my first stick when I was 6 was that lacrosse is a family. We all have a common bond that binds us in sport. We may not all like each other at times, but we have that same common denomiator that will keep us part of a special family througout the rest of our lives.

Take care, God Bless all of you

Just got off the phone with Lisa, John's wife and John himself. John took 40 stitches over his eye and a concussion, he was driving the lead van. He's pretty out of it. His two boys were in the back and did not do so well. I cannot say what happened to who, but here goes

Both boys were thrown from the van as it was flipping. One landed in the grass with another player landing on him, breaking his arm. The other ended up landing on the road, 100 stitches, contusions, will need multiple skin graphs for his ankles, also bruises in his stomach that the doctors are concerned about fluid build up.

Keep them in your prayers.

They are at Springhill Medical Center

Mobile, AL 36608
