DOCTORS and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues.

Health chiefs believe the sight of food will upset Muslim workers when they are celebrating the religious festival Ramadan.

What if I were a Jew/Pagan/Buddist and wanted to buy alcohol on a Sunday in Atlanta? I'm S.O.L. now aren't I?

Where is the outrage with Christians and their Blue Laws in our own country before piling on the Scots? Have you not read How the Scots Invented the Modern World? Scots rule! Haggis does not!

We have much more freedom then them scotch people dew, george bushes told me so and he is a smart man who speeks with convictions and compashion. that is why scotch people haight us. they haight us for are freedoms. i mean they dont even have compewters over their and they tauk all fun. there flag only has blew and white. we have blew, white and read! suck on that literal media! they are in the dark ages or something like that. it would hoove u two not drink on a sonday sir as that is the lords's day and he sayed in the good book that you can only drink on munday tthrew saterday. people like yew make me sick!

Come on now, in light of the Muslim doctors in the UK conspiring to murder innocent people this decision has to be at least noteworthy. I eat lunch at my desk every day while I read the fine musings on the collegelax messageboards and no one could stop me from doing that.

Let's have a reality check here. I went to high school with plenty of Muslims who celebrated Ramadahn and there was no problem with us eating in front of them...and by us I mean Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buhdists, atheists, etc. But then again, in the eyes of some that made all of us xenophobic, inconsiderate, American cavemen. :roll:

Alcoholic rednecks fighting it out with over-zealous Southern Baptists over buying alcohol in stores (it's ok in restaurants btw)...it's like a new civil war. The "sober-sunday" law has been getting a lot of complaints from all levels so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

So let me get this straight...doctors aren't allowed to eat at their desk because it will "offend" people that are fasting? Um. Uh. Hmm. Yep. Sounds like people are being persecuted against because of their religion. Why should someone not be allowed to do something because of their religion? So basically if I gave up alcohol for lent...I could say that no one in Atlanta can drink because I may be offended?
