PAT LYNCH RESIGNS AS PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE
MEN’S LACROSSE HEAD COACH

CLINTON, SC — Pat Lynch has resigned his position as head men’s lacrosse coach at Presbyterian College announced PC Director of Athletics Bee Carlton today.

Lynch was in his first year of building the school’s first men’s lacrosse program. The men’s lacrosse team was competing as a club team during the 2004-05 academic year and will move to full varsity status during the 2005-06 academic year and will be a member of the Deep South Lacrosse Conference.

“We thank Coach Lynch for his service to PC and its student-athletes and appreciate all he accomplished for PC men’s lacrosse,” said Carlton. “Despite the unexpected turn of events, we are working hard to search for his replacement. PC men’s lacrosse will continue to grow and progress.”

A search for Lynch’s replacement will begin immediately.

That's crazy! Our men's team, Magic City Lacrosse (Birmingham, AL), just played them a couple of weeks ago. I wonder what happened?

A girl I know at PC said it was a recruiting violation (nothing scandal-worthy like Colorado football, but still something serious). I'd rather not get into too much detail because I don't know how much of it is the truth and don't want to be spreading rumors.
