Hot Dog!

Will Joey Chestnut break the 60-hot-dog barrier? And will Kobayashi—who I believe still only has one loss in his entire competitive eating career, to a 1000+ lb Kodiak bear—show up for the competition?

According to sportsbook.com:

Takeru Kobayashi: 1-1

Joey Chestnut: 4-5

Field: 20-1

You truly can bet on anything imaginable, can't you?

That was actually really exciting. Chetnut won with 66 dogs, and Kobayashi came in 2nd with 63. It had to go to the judges, because Kobayashi had a reversal (nice way to say he threw up and then ate it). Good stuff.

He's put about 12 HDBs (hot dogs with buns) on the record in the past month. Unbelievable!

I was really hoping that they'd have the clock on screen to show if the reversal came before time expired. IIRC, if you reverse before the clock ends, it's supposed to be a DQ, and it was really close.

Some baseball game showed a stat today that it is estimated that about 150 million hot dogs are eaten today
