I think my Oles will struggle on the road this weekend. I think the stress of preparing for midterms and travel will catch up to them. I also think playing on a larger field then what they practice on will continue to haunt them. It is definitely an advantage at this stage in the season to have frequent access to a full field, and that will continue to hurt the Oles. On a side note they do pick up a new player on attack from Virginia. He had been playing hockey and can now focus on lacrosse.

Was the game outside? We've got a foot of snow and temps in the teens here in Michigan. My games on Thursday and Saturday were both cancelled/postponed.

It was in the Stillwater dome. A big white bubble with turf from 1984 that feels like steel wool on the knees.

Olaf wins a pair. I talked to some of the guys on the way to class today, and it sounds like they played really well. Just another St. Olaf team. A few quick losses then they get hot.

These are not official:

KU 8
Olaf 9 OT

KSU less than 10
Olaf 15

I also heard something from someone who made the trip that Jack McIntyre got injured over the weekend. He is probably the top player on the Olaf team. I am not sure to the extent, but it sounds like his parents drove him back to Colorado following the game and it is an ACL injury. Again all of this is unofficial.

That is a terrible setback for Jack. He is a nice player and a true sportsman. Please give him my best wishes.
