I was perusing the recruit section of Laxpower and was blown away at the sizes of some classes. That's a lot of kids.

just because these schools have large recruiting classes doesn't mean they will have quality players. Even if they are quality they have to be willing to handle school, practice, and have the ability to pay the large sums of money that club ball requires. There are NCAA caliber players all over this country that go to big division 1 schools for the fun and not for the lacrosse.

But still, a team that recruits 40 players has a better chance of having, say, 8 players meeting all of those requirements than does a team recruiting 10 players unless the coaches at the 10-recruit school are just amazing judges of everything.

that's when you look at a school like UCSB who has the coaching year in and year out to accomplish what they do with the players that they have.

I wonder if Chapman is going to keep all of those guys with their coaching change. Donnelly was a huge recruiting force and probably worked real hard to get those guys.
