The East Carolina Youth Lacrosse League is looking for individuals or groups interested in building youth lacrosse programs in the Kinston area for the 2005 season to join and compete against teams in Havelock, Morehead City and New Bern.
Havelock and Morehead City were the first communities to successfully field teams last season. New Bern is actively pursuing a program for the 2005 season. Wilmington has youth teams in the middle schools.
In October 2004, the ECYLL was established for the purpose of connecting and unifying youth lacrosse programs around the state. The ECYLL joined with existing groups from the Triangle and Triad areas, Charlotte and Western North Carolina.
