I haven't really looked too much, but probably will end up at the Roxy next month for Motion City Soundtrack/Sherwood/The Higher/The Forecast.
For most of the bands I like, a lot of them are on the Warped Tour during the summer which I really don't go out of my way to attend. The Fall and Spring are always the big times to see bands I enjoy.
I am also hoping the Beastie Boys to release some US dates soon as everything so far has been abroad and their new album comes out next month (it is awesome by the way even though it's only instrumentals, no lyrics).

Frampton (Summerfest, Milwaukee, July 6)
Widespread Panic (Chicago, July 14)
Drive-By Truckers & Allman Bros (Charlotte, Aug 10)
One of the better summer concert tours I've taken in a while...

Where can I hear some of it? That sounds odd...all instrumental? I was hoping they'd drop a new album, but now that I hear they don't even sing on it I lost my excitement.
Hoping to see Dave at the Gorge this year, but other plans may override. Also, if any of you guys get the chance to hit up the Gorge for his concerts I highly recommend it--they're nuts.

It leaked online the other day. It sounds like their compilation CD they put out in 1996, "The In Sound From Way Out!".
If you like their songs like "Sabrosa", "Ricky's Theme", and "Groove Holmes", you will like this. Sort of a funk/jazz type sound, very cool for background/relaxing music.

I was always a fan of the Beasties instrumentals...I just don't know that there is a strong market for a whole album of it. Then again, they have earned the right to release what ever the heck they want.

The Beastie Boys make decent instrumentals. However, I'd say that there are other artists who are alot better at it- check out DJ Shadow and the first two RJD2 albums, for example. RJD2 especially makes some of the sickest beats I have ever heard.

The company I used to work for used to be a big sponsor of summerfest. It's a great show.
