Anyone catch the Kyle Hawkins interview on ESPN this a.m.
I just turned on sportscenter, and they were airing the kyle hawkins story. I was just curious if anyone else saw it or had any thoughts.

My opinion was that it was an excellent fluff piece. It had very pretty pictures, excellent background music, and little to nothing of substance was said. I know ESPN is not really the station to delve into a story, but it was all vague information and analogies.
It made the MCLA look extremely classy and very legit due to the quality of the camera work. Everything had a varsity polish to it simply because of the quality of the production. The story really had no spin to it. There was not enough information out there to spin. I guess then by default it would be spun into what it was "Gay coach fired". They did not push an agenda of he was fired because of sexual orientation or he was fired because of on field performance. Just that he was gay and he was fired.
That was my take anyway.

What is the link? Is it the video that is within the article or is there a larger one?

It's up on the main page on the left side down the page a bit in the "Must Read" section. There is a link to the ESPN Motion thing that will show it.

I saw it and was pretty confused with how ESPN presented it.

There wasn't any cool new info presented. It just took ten minutes to pretty much tell you what the title said, that mizzou fired gay lacrosse coach, not for being gay. I mean its cool to see midwest lacrosse on national tv, but wasn't in my oppinion the best filler piece made.
