someone could possibly argue that Greg Olson on St. Olaf could be worthy of some sort of recognition. If I am not mistaken He is the league leader in points, with 41 Goals, and 44 Assists. He helped to lead St. Olaf to a 10-3 season in the UMLL Div A. If someone in the league has put up better numbers let me know but 85 points is pretty worthy of recognition in my book.

I would like to say CONGRATS to everyone, especially my HS teammate (1st team G) Jake Launert and good buddy (3rd team A) Pete Nelson.
Secondly, to answer the Illinois has 3 and CU has 1 can be attributed to this rule I have read before: (However, I cannot find if this rule was in effect this year...?) A conference recieves 3 AA players if they have an AQ. RMLC has no AQ. A conference gets 3 more AA seclections per team in the tourney. CU, CSU and BYU.
Correct me if I am wrong, Sonny?

The MCLA does not have quotas for post season awards.

Who did he score all these points against though? The UMLL is a weaker conference in our league. There is much more to the selection process than a players stats.
Against the only Top 25 team he played (UMD) he put up 0 goals, 0 assists.
Not saying he didn't deserve recognition, but I can see why he didn't make the list.

I for one think that the committee did a very good job with this list. I was impressed by both the breadth of the teams that players were mentioned from, as well as seeing all of the names up there that i expected to see. The guys mentioned were the best at their positions this year, and while i can't attest for every single one of them- had you seen them play, i believe you would be satisfied as well.

I'd also like to congratulate the committee for doing a more complete and thoughtful job of selecting the All-America teams in 2007. It's clear that the MCLA leadership learned a lesson from its hasty selections in 2006 and the benefit of doing so is reflected in the best balanced list I've seen.
